Chapter 1: Purpose of the Southbourne Allocation DPD

1.1The principal objective of the Southbourne Allocation DPD (known as the DPD hereafter) is to deliver Policy A13 of the Chichester Local Plan 2021-2039 (CLP). The DPD defines the site boundary and sets out the details of the site allocation, including a framework masterplan for the successful delivery of the allocation. The DPD addresses key policy areas such as infrastructure, housing, transport, landscape and environmental impacts, and is underpinned by supporting evidence produced in connection with the Local Plan and also specifically for this DPD. Comment

1.2This DPD should be read, and the policies applied, alongside and in conjunction with the rest of the development plan, primarily the CLP and the made Southbourne Modified Neighbourhood Plan (SMNP). Comment
