Policy requires all residential development to provide gigabit-capable broadband infrastructure at first occupation. Part R of Building Regulations addresses requirement for new development and part vii can be removed from policy on that basis. If provision is retained, then it is recommended that this policy be amended as follows:
“vii seek where possible to provide gigabit-capable broadband infrastructure”.
