Local Plan Review: Preferred Approach 2016-2035

Representation ID: 94

Received: 10/01/2019

Respondent: Dr Carolyn Cobbold

Representation Summary:

The peninsula is one of the last remaining rural hinterlands on the south coast plain. It also contains several internationally designated habitat sites which are among the most important wildlife areas in the district. CDC should consider strengthening the ICZM to recognise the international importance of the peninsula, safeguarding its environment and associated green tourism base further. The provision of wildlife corridors are probably more important here than anywhere else in Chichester District.
