There has been significant work done by the Manhood Peninsula Partnership to improve the tourism offering on the Manhood Peninsula - particularly in increasing stay tourism. This work, in conjunction with the University of Chichester, has identified the peninsula as a growing nature/outdoor activity destination based on its beaches, coastal countryside, wetlands environment with its USP being that it is the last remaining rural coastal hinterland on the south coast. Tourism is a key factor in helping landowners/businesses diversify in this area.
