Local Plan Review: Preferred Approach 2016-2035

Representation ID: 2073

Received: 07/02/2019

Respondent: Mr Dominic Stratton

Representation Summary:

Object to AL6 due to conflict with S25 The Coast.

Section 5.44 is probably the most important statement in the plan "The landscape of the coastline is characterised by its relatively flat topography which, on occasion, serves to provide views from the water across to the South Downs National Park." SW of Chichester will not only spoil this view but will also spoil perhaps the only view framed by the South Downs of the cathedral in the whole area with employment sites and housing and with a proposed raised link relief road through countryside bordering the Chichester Harbour AONB.
