Green tourism is a vital part of the Manhood Peninsula economy. Overdevelopment spoiling the natural environment would be hugely detrimental.
Chichester Harbour and surrounding area are designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and have the status of being a Special Protection Area, Special Area of Conservation, Site of Special Scientific Interest and is a Ramsar site. To consider development on the scale proposed in such close proximity to such an area is wholly inappropriate.
