The quality of life for local residents will be impacted.

Full text:

Concerned about proposals to build in Fishbourne and Bosham which would lead to a loss of individual identity of the villages, and could lead to a loss of the strategic gap.
Use of high quality arable land for housing development with additional impact on track ways for wildlife, such as deer, and wild geese seems to us to be a retrograde step.
Farm land to the west of Fishbourne is susceptible to flooding after periods of sustained rainfall. Any development of this site would increase the risk of flooding to neighbouring properties.
The drainage north of the railway line through Fishbourne has limited capacity, including sewage disposal.
The treatment works at Appledram are already at capacity, so development likely to impact on the treatment works could have a significant impact on water quality in Chichester harbour, a designated ANOB. Additional building in the Fishbourne area could lead to additional environmental impact, such as erosion, within the harbour.
Similarly, there will be issues relating to traffic management, especially at the Tesco roundabout. The access road to the west of Fishbourne,Blackboy Lane, is unsuitable for any increased traffic movement. It is a LANE, and as such is too narrow for much traffic activity.
The local school is at capacity and there are no plans to increase the size.
