This all sounds so very good but actually tells us nothing concrete - basically the council say it believes heritage assets are a good thing but given the lack of Conservation Staff and reduction of archaeologists etc the evidence suggests that it is just lip service. The District Council's flagrant blind eye to the damage in Priory Park by the Ice Rink says all we need to know about their stance.
