This policy is too narrowly defined and does not make specific provision for appropriate density levels in rural areas and villages which do not have specific statutory protection but still have considerable merit and distinctive character worthy of careful design to protect it. Density levels of 34 units to the hectare would be significantly impactful and out of character in the majority of countryside and village locations in the District and such density levels would rarely be acceptable in any rural or village location. This Policy conflicts with Policy DM28.
