Development of the site is supported. It is well located and can assist in the delivery of the Council's housing requirement in a sustainable manner. Being a former landfill the site can be regarded as 'brownfield' according to para 117 of the NPPF. In conjunction with the adjacent land owner the site can be developed comprehensively to deliver up to 1,000 homes including the provision of community facilities, on the whole site.
