Respondent: David Dean

Representation Summary:

I do not believe that the proposed changes to the fishbourne roundabout will be effective or desirable. They appear to be a rehash of previously rejected proposals, particularly the link road.

Policy 9 - I notice that no infrastructure facilities or services have been provided for the growing numbers of homes that have been built in the last 15 years so I await with bated breath to see if this will actually happen. Will any of the mitigation money go towards doctors surgeries, Youth centres, day nurseries, sewage works and all the other services that are lacking? If it is all to go on the A27 I hope it will be made wider and safer.

Representation Summary:

We support Policies 8 and 9 of the Local Planning Policy with the reservations that:
Policy 8: in this year's Village Survey, VOLUME of traffic was the top concern and this will really only be resolved in Fishbourne by the separation of local and through traffic.
Policy 9: the local provision of services and facilities (e.g. doctors' surgery, local shops) would have the additional benefit of reducing the amount of travel by Fishbourne residents.
