As the local plan stands at present it does not take into account the environmental damage that some strategic areas included will suffer . Unless this is adequately addressed in the iterations of the plan, I will raise this with examiner at the appropriate time.

In the context of SUSTAINABLE development that improves the environmental conditions in the area, given the threat of climate change, I consider it essential that all new developments should be truly sustainable ie use renewable energy(solar, wind, wave) rather than fossil fuels and be fully insulated to minimise the energy needed to heat or cool the buildings.
